knitting

I have been knitting for as long as I can remember. I have always enjoyed the creativity of making something out of a ball of yarn. I prefer to make up a pattern as I go along than following someone else’s pattern.  Experimenting with color, texture and shape provides me with the ultimate satisfaction.

The yarn store Hilltop Yarn and Needlepoint in Seattle, enormously inspired and expanded my abilities. It was thanks to their encouragement that I submitted a pattern for a coaster to One Skein Wonders book of patterns, and also where I designed and taught the very popular knitted wire bracelet class.
